Becky lops her locks for cancer charities

A Westbury mum “braved the shave” and had her hair buzzed off, raising over £2,100 for charity and supporting her good friend who is undergoing breast cancer treatment.

Becky Elloway, who is married with daughters Katie (19) and Sophie (11), told White Horse News, “The shave took place yesterday (Sunday 16th May), my friend Stacy Groves was the one who scalped me!

“My hair was past my shoulders. I braved the shave in aid of two amazing charities – Coppafeel! and Look Good, Feel Better – as well as donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust.

“I’m doing this to raise as much cash as possible as well as highlighting the importance of checking for abnormalities to get an early diagnosis should something be wrong.  The Covid pandemic has meant that less people have been contacting their GPs in fear of Covid.

“Personally, I’m also doing this to stand alongside my good friend, Laura Lee, who is going through breast cancer treatment at the moment.”

Becky, who runs a large Avon business, helping others to earn from home, has so far raised £2,105. The link is still open for anyone wishing to donate: www.justgiving.com/team/bex-lops-her-locks

CoppaFeel! is a breast cancer awareness charity, based in London, which focuses on promoting early detection of breast cancer by encouraging women under 30 to regularly check their breasts. Look Good, Feel Better is a leading cancer support charity aimed at boosting the physical and emotional wellbeing of people living with cancer.
