DON’T MISS THIS YEAR’S DONKEY DERBY!

THE ever-popular Donkey Derby, hosted by the Westbury Lions Club, is returning to the town again this year and Westbury residents can look forward to some great family fun full of donkey races, donkey rides, fair rides for children, stalls and a licenced bar.

This year’s donkey derby will take place on Sunday 4th June from midday to 4.30pm at the White Horse Country Park. Entry is £5 per adult, £1 for teens and accompanied children can enter for free. All money raised is used by the Lions to fund causes to help local people.

“The much-loved Donkey Derby is back in the diary!” say Westbury Lions. “We will have eight feature races plus donkey rides between and lots to do for the whole family, including a fair and stalls, family games, coconut shy and face painting as well as good food and a licensed bar. Ever popular in the community, this event is one not to miss with the children!”

Children under 14 weighing less than seven and a half stone can fulfil their racing dreams and take part in a race (with their parent’s permission) by simply calling into the jockey tent on the day. Alternatively, they can be registered in advance by emailing donkeyderby@ westbury lions.org .uk.
