Summer support for Barnardo’s!

Children’s charity Barnardo’s has produced a colourful fundraising pack for Wiltshire supporters wanting to have fun and help others this summer.

The step-by-step guide offers everything needed for people to organise and run their own activities.

The money raised will support the charity’s work with some of the UK’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children. The pack includes fundraising ideas from cake sales and quiz nights to summer fetes and glamorous balls, as well as how to register activities and receive merchandise, set targets and budgets, and raise awareness.

It also includes important details regarding health and safety, insurance, legal guidelines, licences, and how to bank the proceeds.

Barnardo’s regional relationships manager, Julie Kemp, hopes the pack will encourage people to make the most of the summer holidays by fundraising for a worthy cause.

She said, “Public support helps us to reach the children and young people who most need our help. Every penny and pound can make a big difference.

“Finding the theme or idea for your activity can sometimes feel daunting, but we’ve collected some tried and tested favourites to get the ball rolling, which can then be adapted to suit the interests of friends, family or work colleagues.

“We hope people will be inspired to join our campaign to create stronger families, safer childhoods and positive futures for children and young people across the UK.”
