Country fayre raises £3,000 for college horse arena project

Fairfield Farm College in Dilton Marsh has raised £3,000 for their indoor horse arena project after holding the college’s first Country Fayre and Family Fun Day on Saturday 30th June.
The college said, “During the day there were games, crafts and inflatables for children, dog agility demonstrations by Frome Dog Agility Training Club, archery by Aim on the Plain Ltd, ‘Beat the Goalie’ on the MUGA, supported by Frome Town Robins, gun dog demonstrations, meet the horses and the animals, homemade cakes and refreshments, our very own Fairfield barbecue and a bar sponsored by Twisted Brewing Ltd in Westbury, Lilley’s Cider and Ruby Red Wines from Bradford on Avon.”
Debbie Hughes, charity fundraising manager said, “We were supported by external stallholders, including West Wilts Bee Keepers and we had student stalls, which showcased their work. Plus, the Friends of Fairfield parent group were there to support us with the grand raffle and soft toy tombola.
“We were also delighted to be joined by Dee Wilde from Pan’s People and her girls who got everyone dancing.
“We had fantastic weather and the event was well supported with around 400 people joining us to help raise funds for our new indoor horse arena project. This event has enabled us to raise around £3,000 to go towards this project, which is fantastic.”
