“Once a year we open our theatre and the Assembly Rooms, offering talks on the history, where we are now and where we see our future.
“Our open day this year is Saturday June 30th 10.00am – 1.00pm and we would welcome anyone who may be interested at having a closer look at our theatre and perhaps join us as a volunteer. We need additional help in marketing, box office, stewarding, confectionery kiosk, maintenance and back stage.
The theatre is a registered charity with trustees, perhaps you would like to become a trustee? Come and talk to us over a cup of coffee on the 30th June.

FMTC Spellbound Present Seussical
Seussical is a musical about a little boy called Jojo who is always getting into trouble for letting his imagination run riot! He meets The Cat in the Hat who helps him tell the story of Horton, an elephant in the Jungle of Nool who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos! Horton decides he must protect the speck of dust by placing it on a nearby clover, while at the same time protecting an abandoned egg left to his care by the lazy Mayzie La Bird. Horton tries to convince the other animals in The Jungle of the existence of the Whos, but he is ridiculed and put on trial with only his loyal neighbour, Gertrude McFuzz, believing him. Will Horton save the Whos?
Seussical weaves a story of friendship, loyalty and love and teaches us the power of being unique, and the importance of fighting for what you believe in.
