Could you be a Crosspoint volunteer?

LOCAL charity Crosspoint is looking for volunteers, can you help?

The Crosspoint charity is situated in Westbury Market Place. They operate a drop-in centre where local residents can come in for a chat about various problems they may be facing.

They act as an access point to communicate with government and housing associations, provide residents with assistance in filling out official forms, and they also offer free phone and computer access including help with CVs and job searches.

Crosspoint also acts as the local Food Bank, in partnership with the Warminster Food Bank. Counselling services are also provided.

Crosspoint is currently seeking more volunteers to help with many varied tasks such as helping clients access the information they require, form filling, IT help, welcoming and greeting, administrative work and receptionist duties. No previous volunteering experience is necessary as training is provided.

If you can offer a few hours a month on a regular basis Crosspoint would love to hear from you. Crosspoint is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2.30-5.00pm and Thursdays and Saturdays from 10.00am-12.30pm. Volunteers are asked to sign up days and times suitable for them.

If you can chat comfortably with people or have computer experience to share, can fill in forms, help access information or make a great cup of tea then Crosspoint would value your help!

If you would like to learn more about Crosspoint then please drop in to the open session on April 2nd 10.00am-12.30 where you will be able to meet current volunteers and chat about whether you may be interested in joining the team.

If you can’t wait until April 2nd then please phone Crosspoint on 01371 824330 or else email info@crosspoint-westbury.co.uk to request an application form. Crosspoint would love to hear from you. Please help this valued charity in making a difference in the local community.
