THE results of this year’s Christmas Shop Window Competition has been announced, with Collectable Times taking first place.

The competition was organised by Westbury Town Council and was judged by the Mayor and mayoress of Westbury.

Clock, watch and jewellery repairs shop Collectable Times was awarded first place for its ‘The Night Before Christmas’ themed window display. Crosspoint, Co-operative Funeralcare and Town and Country Estate Agents were highly commended.

Mayor of Westbury, cllr David Bradshaw said, “It really was so difficult to decide a winner because they were all fantastic. We went to each shop with an open mind and we weren’t looking for anything in particular.

“For my wife and I, what stood out with Collectable Times’ display was the warm, inviting and traditional Christmas scene they created. It ticked all the boxes for us, the whole thing optimises Christmas.

“The effort that went into all the window displays was tremendous and they all looked wonderful. The Co-operative Funeralcare had a very small budget but they still put so much effort in to making it look festive.”

John Fryer from Collectable Times said, “Thank you for all the support for our Christmas window display, we didn’t expect to be the winners. We are very pleased indeed.”
