RHYME Time at Westbury Library has added an extra session to its Friday mornings due to popular demand.
The parent and child sessions that are held every Friday will now be split into two sessions. The 10-10.30am session will be aimed primarily at babies, with nursery rhymes, bouncing and clapping. This will be followed by an 11-11.30am session which will be aimed more at toddlers, with lots of action songs and musical instruments.
Library supervisor Jo Harris said, “We’ve been running a rhyme time every Friday morning for several years now and it has always been popular with babies, toddlers, their parents and grandparents, but for the last few months it has been growing in size every week.
“Its popularity has grown so much that we have now decided to run two sessions, as we haven’t got enough room in the children’s library for everyone to come at once!
“The sessions are led by library staff with the help of our wonderful volunteers, and are free to attend. There’s no need to book, parents/grandparents/carers can just come along and have some fun with their baby or toddler!”
