Summer reading at the Lions Book Shop – and kids books are free!

IF you’re looking for something to do this summer, head down to the Lions Bookshop in the town centre for a wide variety of books to choose from.

And if you’re looking for something to keep the kids entertained, children’s books are free!

“With over 7,000 books, there really is something for everyone and with the children’s books being free, mums and dads don’t have to worry about buying books for their children’s summer reading,” said Nigel Coward from Westbury Lions.

“Whether you’re perched on a sun lounger in the back garden, sat in a deckchair on a beach or have time to kill on a plane, you will need a good book to get lost in and Westbury Lions Book Shop is sure to have something for you.

“Plus, the money raised goes towards helping local causes.”

The shop is run by managers Helen and Bill Braid and all the books are kindly donated by the public.

The book shop is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-1pm and is situated on the Warminster Road.

“Aside from being a place to get quality books cheaply, it’s a place where people can find out more about the Lions Club,” added Nigel.
