THE Duke at Bratton is expecting a good turn out for their ‘Tractors and Trotters’ event this Sunday, 2nd August, starting at 11am.
The new event combines a vintage vehicle rally of 10-12 miles around the village and a hog roast for afterwards. There will also be static engines on display.
Organising the event, with Sharon Newton, is Landlord Andy Hobbs who is really looking forward to the day. He said, “It started out being just a small thing, a few of us with old tractors wanted to get together for a ride out, but we then thought why not invite lots of people and have a hog roast as well.
“We thought it would be great if we could raise money for charity as well. Those who are going on the rally are invited to donate to either Cancer Research or Dorothy House and all the money from the hog roast will go to the charities as well.
“We’re not sure exactly how many people are going to come but people are talking about it in Bath apparently so I think we will have a good turn out. It should be a great day.”
The Duke has also got live music on Friday 7th August with the Full Motley.
