Summer’s coming and on Saturday 13th June the Bratton Evening Out is moving to the afternoon!
There will be fun for all the family including a Geocache Treasure Hunt starting at the chapel on Carpenter’s Lane from 2- 4pm (please bring a GPS device or mobile phone if you have one).
Join in with games and sports on the village green from 4.00 – 6.00pm, followed by a performance from cheerleading group Infinity Dance. A barbecue and live music from local band White Horses and guests will take place at the Chapel from 6-8pm.
From 6-8pm there will also be the opportunity to hear from two young people who have been working with the Baptist Missionary Society Action Team on the Thai – Burma border. They have been supporting the work of Compasio, a charity that works with the most vulnerable people in this region, and they will share their experiences of working in children’s homes, of working alongside the impoverished and teaching and befriending students in local schools there.
Neil Griffiths, one of the organisers said, “We hope that the activities on offer will appeal to a wide range of people, and that everyone will feel welcome to come along to some or all of the events.”
This is a free event organised by Bratton Baptist Church; any donations on the day will be given to the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
