England Futsal’s all time top goalscorer Luke Ballinger is bringing his successful football academy to Westbury.
Future of Football is launching its weekly skill academy in the town; from the end of April they will be offering their unique top up’ training for children of all abilities between the ages of 5 and 14 years.
After the success of Future of Football’s Melksham academy, which currently coaches 120 children weekly, the FOF team approached Westbury Youth FC ensuring the club was happy to allow the academy to help develop young players in the area.
FOF is the brainchild of England Futsal’s record cap holder and top scorer, Luke Ballinger and coach Luke Smith who is UEFA B qualified and worked as Academy Program Manager for one of the largest academies in Los Angeles.
Their weekly technical sessions consist of ball mastery, speed, agility and quickness development and small-sided games (maximum 4v4) which maximises touches on the ball, improves decision making and confidence.
Westbury Youth chairman Matthew Bright said, “We are very excited to welcome Future of Football into Westbury. We have seen the recent success of their Melksham academy and we feel it will only make our young players flourish and in turn benefit our Westbury youth teams” FOF head coach Luke Smith said, “At FOF we wanted to create a professional academy environment but make sure our sessions are available to players of all abilities. Every new member receives a free kit which also adds to the professional environment. We encourage creativity, every player has a ball at their feet for the majority of the session but above anything else our sessions are fun.
“We have a handful of players that travel to us from Westbury and other local towns every week, our plan is to make our sessions widely available and follow our dream of creating professional players in the Wiltshire area.”
Each session is taken from our unique curriculum and will contribute to developing a player’s technique, ability and their understanding of key principles within the game. Our methods and thoughtfully constructed and our player development pathway is guaranteed to improve players confidence, awareness and take their skills to the next level.”
FOF are offering FREE Taster sessions which will run on Monday 13th April (6pm U8 & U10, 7pm U11, U12, U13) and Thursday 16th April (6pm U6 & U7, 7pm U9).
