CANCER Research UK’s Westbury branch will soon be holding their annual ‘Big Breakfast’ fundraising morning, which has been a hugely popular event for the past 16 years, since starting in 1999.
This year’s breakfast will run from 9am until 2pm at Westbury Labour Club on Saturday 14th March. There will be a range of breakfast items on offer including a full English for £6, bacon sandwiches, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit juice, and tea and coffee.
Westbury branch chair Sheila Carruthers said, “The Big Breakfast has proved very popular in the past. We don’t sell tickets, but stay open all morning so people can come as they please for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
“There will be a range of food and drink, as well as a raffle and homemade marmalade on sale.
“Our branch does a lot of fundraising in the way of car boot sales and often catering. We have a lot of friends and volunteers on hand and we’re very grateful for all their help.”
Last year’s Big Breakfast was attended by 180 people and raised a huge £944.33 for Cancer Research UK.
