Post office opens in Dilton Marsh – with long hours and Sunday opening!

Dilton Marsh now has a post office which opened in the Village Store on Tuesday 15th July and will have extra long opening hours from Monday to Sunday, 6am until 8pm.

Matt Lawes and Ellie Whitehall opened the Dilton Marsh Village Store back in April and the post office is the latest addition to the shop.

Matt said, “Not too many post offices in the local area open for such long hours or on a Sunday. The post office is a key element of the store so we are really excited to open it.  We are also hoping this will generate some extra sales for the store.

“The shop has been doing pretty well so far and we are constantly expanding and adding new ranges; especially local products, such as Wilton Wholefoods, that you can’t often find in the supermarket. The Penleigh Farm meat is also popular especially as the animals are raised in the village.”

Beth Smith who works in the shop said, “Lots of people have been coming into the shop and saying they can’t wait for the post office to open. Before, they had to go into Westbury for these services, so I think this will be good for them.”
