New attraction opens at Brokerswood Country Park

Brokerswood Country Park has added a new attraction to the growing list of activities available within the historic 80 acre woodland.

A new treetops trail has been installed, giving people the chance to get a bird’s eye view of the park whilst negotiating a challenging 80 metre assault course suspended 15ft off the ground.

Billed as one of the most challenging aerial assault courses in the West Country, it finishes with a 35m zip wire to bring people safely back down to terra firma.

It sits alongside a range of other activities now available at Brokerswood including archery, canoeing and a 35ft high tree climb. All of the activities available are fully supervised by trained staff from the Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team (WOLT).

Darren Oram from WOLT said, “We’ve created a really fun and challenging course in this amazing setting at Brokerswood. It’s another great outdoor pursuit available at the park that encourages people to get active and take on some fun and exciting challenges.”

Park director Susan Capon added, “The country park is becoming a real hub of outdoor pursuits. We’ve created a varied range of activities for people to try and they’re proving to be really popular with all types, from businesses looking to take part in team building days, to schools, small groups and families.”

Brokerswood Country Park is now open at weekends, and throughout the summer holiday (weather permitting). For more information visit www.brokerswoodcountrypark.co.uk or follow @Brokerswood on Twitter.
