Upcoming live music at Charlie’s Bar in Westbury

THERE’S lots of live entertainment coming up at Charlie’s Bar in the Market Place.

The entertainment kicks off with Train to Skaville performing on Friday 9th May. They are a ska, reggae, rocksteady band from Wiltshire. They have performed many gigs across the region including at Dilton Marsh and locally in Melksham, Warminster and other venues across the county. They are a band that aims to get you moving to its rhythmic grooves and lift your mood.

The following day on Saturday 10th May Digs in the Ribs are to take to the stage at Charlie’s Bar playing rock and pop, with a touch of mod, punk and blues from the fifties to the present day. Formed in 2004 under the name SWETT “BZ” they quickly become a success and with a fresh name Digs in the Ribs as they are known now have gone from strength to strength.

On Friday 16th May The All Nighters will perform their up-beat northern soul described by the band as having an extra punch. They are an eight-piece Northern Soul band based locally. The band pays tribute to the classic up-tempo soul played in northern clubs in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The flurry of live entertainment at Charlie’s Bar is rounded off with a performance by Scout Killers and Black Forge on Saturday 17th May.
