Westbury Rotary Club held their annual carol concert on Monday 16th December at the All Saints Parish church in Westbury.
Bratton Silver Band played carols to a packed church and the schools were well represented by Dilton Marsh Junior School and Bitham Brook Junior School who gave the congregation a spellbound performance with their own special renditions.
Later in the evening a special guest and his elfin helper who have a habit of appearing at this time of the year, gave a bag of sweets each to some 100 plus children.
After the concert the congregation were treated to refreshments with sausage rolls and mince pies kindly donated by the ladies of Westbury Inner Wheel Club.
Westbury Rotary express their special thanks to Jonathan the parish vicar for allowing the club to use his marvellous church for such a rewarding event, and also to Rtn Susan Hill-bird who was the M.C. for the evening. The two schools have agreed to return next year and all look forward to hearing them perform again. Next year’s concert will be held on Monday 15th December 2014.
