New season for Westbury Junior Netball Club

THE new season started for Westbury Junior Netball Club on 9th September and new players are very welcome.

The club trains on Monday nights from 7.00pm-9.00pm on the outside courts at Leighton Recreation Centre and has two teams; U12s comprises girls from years 6 and 7 and U14s for girls in years 8 and 9. Both teams are part of the Moonraker League and compete in monthly mini tournaments held in Devizes.

Team manager Jess Brisdon says, “Westbury Juniors had a great season last year with both teams coming 3rd in the tournaments for their age groups, both improving on last season and the U14 team only narrowly missing 2nd place by one point! We are looking forward to another great season and continuing to see the club develop.”

New players are always welcome and anyone interested in joining should contact the club at westburynetballclub@yahoo.co.uk. Adult volunteer helpers are also welcome, and anyone interested in supporting coaching the teams or helping with training should contact the club for more information.

Training has also already started for Westbury Netball Club’s adult players, with the Moonraker Senior League kicking off on 24th September. Adult training (ages 14 and above – no upper limit!) takes place at Leighton Recreation Centre from 7.30pm to 9.00pm on Mondays. New players are welcome throughout the season and should contact the club by email for more information.
