New era for Mendip Mowers & Newlands Tree Care

TWO local businesses,  Newlands Tree Care and Mendip Mowers, have combined, offering all the services you need for your garden machinery and garden tree care in the village of Chapmanslade, just outside Frome. Andy Brake has been running Newlands Tree Care as part of the family farming business since 2001. But now he and his wife, Jeanette, have expanded their business by ‘adopting’ a successful  sister business, Mendip Mowers.Since taking over Mendip Mowers in November, the pair are finding the two businesses work together particularly well, with their agricultural background giving them plenty of knowledge and experience to offer the best service for both tree care and garden machinery. Andy is predominantly a ‘hands-on’ person, using his skills in the workshop, while Jeanette runs the office and showroom. As professional tree surgeons, Newlands Tree Care offer a free initial consultation to discuss customers’ requirements and advise accordingly. Andy and his team are then able to provide a complete tree service, including pruning and felling, stump removal, hedge trimming, and supplying barn dried logs for firewood. Mendip Mowers continue to supply and service Honda machinery, and offer a range of chainsaws, brush cutters, and hedge trimmers. Stuart Hibbard, who has built up a loyal customer base for the company over the last 27 years, has stayed on in Chapmanslade as a consultant, to ensure continuity of service for their customers and offers his expertise when required.
