Issue 475 – Vacancy on Town Council

A VACANCY has risen on the town council following the resignation of cllr Adam Berrisford.

Cllr Berrisford’s resignation leaves a vacancy on the Laverton ward. If 10 electors in the ward make a request to the returning officer in writing by 9th December, an election will be held to fill the positions.
If that does not happen, then the town council can fill the vacancies by co-option.
