Issue 481 – Acts announced for music festival

The full line up of Westbury’s first ever town music festival has been announced.

Between Friday 25th and Sunday 27th September a truly eclectic programme of music will be performed at venues around the Westbury area. Performances include an ABBA tribute act from Manchester, a mezzo soprano singer from Croatia, a Moldovian pianist and a military marching band, not to mention local talent from popular Westbury bands and talented pupils from Matravers School.
The school will also be unveiling a community art project which they have been running to create a stone sculpture in Victoria Gardens, by the church.
The festival has been a labour of love, produced by a small committee drawn from the town’s Rotary and Lions clubs, assisted by the town council. It is hoped that the festival will become an annual event.
