Issue 464 – By-election for Ham ward called

AN election has been called to fill the vacancy on the Ham ward of Westbury Town Council.

The by-election will be held on Thursday 12th August. Nominations for candidates must be received by Wiltshire Council by noon on Friday 16th July.
The vacancy on the town council arose after Phillip Brown resigned due to ill health last month, after almost a year on the town council. A request for an election had to be made by ten electors for the Ham ward, a requirement that was fulfilled.
