Issue 464 – New offices for town council

THE town council has moved into their new offices in the Laverton.

The offices can now be found in the old snooker rooms, which frees up their former offices for the incoming Citizens Advice Bureau. It also gives staff and visitors a more spacious and comfortable area to work in.
There is also a new entrance to the town offices, which can be found on the far right hand side at the front of the building, a few metres from the old entrance.
Keith Harvey, the town clerk said, “It’s really part of the refurbishment of the Laverton, and part of those long-term aims. It clears up room for the Citizens Advice Bureau and the meeting room - meetings can now take place in there without having to use the large hall.”
“When you look at the before and after photos, it’s surprising what a lick of paint can do! We’ve now got a comfortable working environment whereas before it was cramped.”
The old town council offices will hold the new Westbury branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau.
