Everyone is invited to the event, which will be held at the Methodist Church in Station Road on Tuesday 30th November at 7.30pm.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss future plans for the heritage centre and outline events and talks planned for the next year.  It will also pay tribute to the society’s many volunteers both past and present.

Items on sale range from limited edition Westbury calendars to keyrings made from Laverton cloth.

“We would love to see as many people as possible,” explained heritage society chair Sally Hendry, “you do not have to be a society member – just come along.

“We know lots of local people are interested in their town heritage and this is an opportunity to find out more, share ideas and get involved as much or as little as you want.”

The society was founded in 1992. Today it runs the Westbury Heritage Centre on the first floor of the town library. The centre is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday and entrance is free.
