Saints’ Alive! Workshops

Story posted on

DURING August, All Saints’ Church will be holding two workshops – on drawing and creative writing – for adults over 55 in the Church, led by professional artists.

The organisers say, “Come and discover more about the Church and use it for inspiration to create something yourself. The workshops are being provided thanks to a Community Area Grant from Wiltshire Council.

“The first is on 3rd August and is led by Marie Hillcoat. Everyone is welcome. All materials are supplied. Bring your own drawing materials if you wish. The emphasis is on having fun and seeing what you can do with water soluble pencils and a little collage.

“On 24th August Matthew Tett will lead a creative writing workshop. If you are a keen writer or a novice, and fancy getting pen to paper, this session is for you. Come along to be part of a Saints’ Alive! writing workshop in Westbury’s beautiful All Saints’ Church.

“We’ll be providing refreshments and an opportunity to enjoy friendly conversation.”

These sessions are free but must be booked in advance on  www. eventbrite. co.uk/o/all-saints-church-westbury-30863143221. For more information see the All Saints’ website www.whtministry.org.uk.
