Story posted on

Westbury’s Memory Cafe, run by Alzheimer’s Support, is holding its first meeting for seven months this week, on Wednesday 14th October.

The evening cafe is now meeting on a Wednesday evening at its usual venue of Grassacres Hall and organisers and volunteers are looking forward to welcome guests to the socially distanced event.

The cafe is exempt from the rule of six and the charity is following strict procedures that are approved by Public Health England. To come along call 01380 739055.

Alzheimer’s Support say. “Our Westbury cafe meets on the second Wednesday of each month for a speaker or entertainment, and a chance to socialise with others ‘in the same boat’. Professionals are on hand to discuss any aspect about living with dementia in an informal, friendly environment.

“The Westbury cafe was the first memory cafe in Wiltshire – and this summer celebrated its 10th anniversary.  It is still our only evening cafe.”
