Bratton Christmas lights switch-on “unlikely” to go ahead

Story posted on

BRATTON’S Christmas lights switch-on is “unlikely” to go ahead this year due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.

The event is organised by Friends of Bratton School, but the parish council has reported that a large switch-on event will not be possible.

Cllr Tim Goode has offered to arrange for the erection of the Christmas lights. A new location for the Christmas tree is also being explored by the parish council.

Bratton Parish Council says, “Cllr Goode reported that the previous location for the Christmas tree was now unavailable as the Pavilion building was leased to the pre-school and it was agreed to find an alternative home for the tree, perhaps at The Duke pub. Cllr Jeff Ligo would discuss this with the manager of the pub.”
