Community hair salon celebrates 25 years!

Story posted on

CROWNING Glory hairdressers in Dilton Marsh is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month.

To celebrate – and as a thank you to all their loyal customers – they are inviting you to join them next week for prosecco and cake.

Owner, Pauline Froggatt, first started working at the hair salon on a Saturday when she was 14 years old.

Then when Pauline was 21 suddenly the owner had an accident, breaking her wrist, and was unable to continue the business. Pauline then bought it from her and 25 years later she and hair stylist Holly Witcombe, who has worked there for the last six years, continue to run the salon.

Crowning Glory offers all aspects of hairdressing, and pride themselves on serving the community.

Pauline said, “The 25 years has flown by. It has been a very rewarding 25 years and it’s great that I have been able to work it around my children, who are now eight and 11.

“Hairdressing has changed dramatically in that time. We used to do a lot of shampoo and sets and perms each week but now it is a lot of colouring every six weeks with only a few perms.

“Here at Crowning Glory we also like to help the town by selling tickets for local events and we work closely with Holy Trinity Church.

“We’d like to say a really big thank you to all our customers who have supported us over the years! Do pop in and see us next week from Tuesday 12th November.”

Crowning Glory is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 9-5, Thursdays and Friday from 9-6 and Saturday from 9-1.

To book an appointment, call them on 01373 822731.
