Tough Mudder Challenge

They climbed, they fell, they got wet, they got electrocuted, they were dunked in frozen water, they faced their fears, they got very muddy and cold and they still ran to the next obstacle!

A group of local charity fundraisers were taking part in the Tough Mudder challenge, completing the ten-mile course to raise funds for Teddies for Loving Care – a charity which raises funds to supply local (and national) accident and emergency units with teddy bears and cuddly toys for children in severe distress.

Amongst the fundraisers were Beverley and Dale Vincent from the Iles and Vincent Funeral Services team in Warminster and 17 other members of Club 24 Fitness in Westbury.

Bev said ‘’It was an extraordinary experience, fantastic teamwork and lots of fun, I think we were definitely the muddiest team in the competition!’’

Business partner Anna Iles said, “I am so very proud of all of them for their efforts and the teamwork they showed to each other, encouraging and helping each other through this amazing experience. I know they are all now sporting bruises, but they showed dedication and were determined to all succeed.

“Iles and Vincent Funeral Services and Club 24 Fitness took on this Tough Mudder challenge as another fantastic way to raise money for the Teddies for Loving Care charity which raises funds to supply teddy bears and cuddly toys for children in severe distress  at accident and emergency units. The aim of the cuddly toy is to try and alleviate the stress for children and sometimes to assist the staff in their work.

“There is a ‘GoFundMe’ page set up should you wish to support the efforts of the team and donate to such a special charity.”
