MONEY raised from this year’s Dilton Dash has been donated to Holy Trinity Church and Dilton Parish Council totalling £604, with £100 of that given to Sonja Harris, editor of the parish newsletter.

Runners of the event this year, organised by Redfish Events, suffered soaring temperatures to complete the 10k and 3k distances around the village.

The total raised on the day was £604 and was donated to Holy Trinity Church and Dilton Marsh Parish Council  in a surprise, which was revealed at the church on Wednesday 30th May.

A few ideas were discussed about what they will use the money for, including church roof repairs, donating to the Fairfield Farm College indoor riding centre fund or a commemorative bench.

Redfish events asked that £100 of the money goes to Sonja Harris, editor of the parish newsletter, to give thanks for her continuous advertising of the Dilton Dash each month.

If you would like to take part in the next Redfish event; The Bowerhill Bomber will be held on Sunday 22nd July, visit www. entrycentral.com/festival/1408 to register for either the 5k or 10k distance.
