Described as “one of the world’s finest pianists” by the New York Times, Angela Brownridge has delivered some of the “most remarkable and moving playing” in “the finest and most riveting performances” (The Guardian and Daily Telegraph).

On Saturday 16th June she will be coming to Edington Priory Church to play a programme of pieces for solo piano by Chopin – perfect music for a summer’s evening.

The piano was the only instrument for which Chopin composed solo works, and they are always brilliant, passionate, celestial and emotional, sometimes all at once.  To give a good account, they require a pianist of surpassing technical ability, emotional intelligence and experience, and one who has a deep understanding of Chopin the man and of his music.

Angela Brownridge has all of these, demonstrated from her first performance as a child prodigy aged 6 and her Wigmore Hall debut aged 12, right through to her multitude of recordings, broadcasts and performances all over the world.

Full programme information is on the website, www.edingtonarts.org;  it includes waltzes, polonaises, and the great Fantasy in F minor – 12 minutes of sheer perfection.

Tickets are £20/15/10, with a 10% discount for Edington Angels and 18 and under coming free; please ring Chrissy on 01380 831256 or email sue@edingtonarts.org to secure yours for this absolutely unmissable concert.
