STUDENTS from Fairfield Farm College in Dilton Marsh competed in a Panathlon at Marlborough College on Tuesday 21st November and came away with silver medals.

A Panathlon is a multi-sports competition and training for young disadvantaged and disabled people across the UK. It is run by The Panathlon Foundation, founded in 1995, and encourages children with disabilities to have competitive sporting opportunities.

So far the foundation has reached all 32 London boroughs and 27 counties across England, with the hope to be nationwide by 2020.

Fairfield Farm College and Exeter House have combined to create a team within the Wiltshire games division. The games on Tuesday 21st November saw 70 competitors involved across 6 local SEN schools at Marlborough College. Fairfield and Exeter House were victorious in the kurling and field athletics, ending the competition in 2nd place, winning them each a silver medal!

Helen Beer, senior education manager for Fairfield Farm College said, “We all had a fab day. Everyone got a chance to play everything and everyone showed off their skills to the best of their ability. Well done teams!!”
