The Bratton branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding an Armistice Day Act of Remembrance at Bratton Village War Memorial on Saturday 11th November beginning at 10.50am.

The Annual Remembrance Service will also be held at St James’ Church  the next day, on Sunday 12th November at 9.30am, and the wreath-laying ceremony will follow at the Village War Memorial from 11.00am.

All will be welcome in joining them on both occasions to remember the members of our armed forces who died in the line of duty and in particular ‘the fallen from Bratton.’

After the parade and service at the War Memorial, there will be a curry lunch in the nearby Jubilee Hall.  All are welcome, but prior booking before 12.30pm on Saturday 11th November is essential.  Organisers say, “The delicious lunch will be provided by The Cinnamon Lounge, Westbury by kind arrangement with the managing director, Shah Sufiuan or ‘Sufi’ as he is better known to his customers.

An alternative to the curry will be available.  Please make it clear that you want the alternative when booking.  Reserve your place(s) now by contacting 01380 831208.  The price is £12 per person which includes a donation to The Poppy Appeal.”
