THIS year’s Civic Service will take place on Sunday 29th October at 3.30pm. The service will be held at All Saint’s Church, Westbury.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Westbury, cllr Gordon King and Mrs Carole King, along with members of the council invite all Westbury residents to attend this service which is being held in partnership with Westbury Churches Together.

Town Mayor, cllr Gordon King said, “I extend a warm invitation to everyone. As mayor, I would like to see the church full of Westbury’s residents and whatever you do in our community, everyone is welcome. This year’s service has a theme of ‘Community and Neighbourliness.’ This is our opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for the richness of our lives in Westbury.”

A collection will take place during the service in aid of the Mayor’s charities which this year are Alzheimer’s Support (Wiltshire) and the Hope Debt Advice Service (Westbury). Both charities are very active in Westbury, providing a vital support network for residents.

Following the service, refreshments will be served in the Parish Hall next to the church, to which all members of the congregation are invited.

The Mayor and Mayoress say, “We do hope that you will join us.”
