EDINGTON Priory Church will present “Clarinet Maestros” on the penultimate night of their national tour, on Saturday 30th September at 7.30pm.

The concert will feature America’s foremost swing clarinettist, Ken Peplowski, with the UK’s renowned clarinettist Julian Marc Stringle.

As a young man Ken was heavily influenced by Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman.  He had the honour to join Benny’s final Big Band on tenor saxophone at the age of 18.  Julian, who is world renowned in his own right, has now made two albums with Ken during their European tour in 2015/2016.

Their contrasting styles on clarinet blend perfectly.  The duo will be backed by the outstanding Craig Milverton’s trio with Craig on piano, Sandy Suchodolski on bass and Nick Milward on drums.  Come and enjoy!

Tickets are available from Maggie Atterbury, £15 each,  on 01380 830452.  All proceeds will go to maintain Edington Priory Church.
