A LOCAL lad has his eyes on competing in the MotoGP after being accepted to the trials of the British Talent Cup in August.

12-year-old Jay Able currently competes in the British MiniGP Championships alongside his brother Sean, 10.

Father Mark Able said, “Jay has just been accepted to the trials of the British Talent Cup in August at Silverstone Stowe Circuit. If successful, this series is a direct link into MotoGP. Very exciting times ahead!”

In the British MiniGP Championships, Jay competes on a 70cc motorbike and brother Sean on a 50cc. The pair have recently received a donation from a local sponsor.

“They would both like to thank their local sponsor Matt Rowe from Hire Standards for donating a new Honda generator to the team,” said Mark.
