STUDENTSleaving Matravers School celebrated the end of the school year in style.

Year 11 students enjoyed a prom to mark the culmination of their first five years of secondary education.

With one pupil making their entrance by helicopter at Cumberwell Park, the night was one to remember. Awards for ‘Most likely to fall over dancing’ through to King and Queen of the prom, voted for by staff and students, were handed out on the evening by the Year 11 Prom Committee.

Throughout the evening students enjoyed mocktails and a mock casino before the night was rounded off with fireworks.

Last week, Year 13 students from the Sixth Form enjoyed an evening of celebration and reminiscing at the annual Leavers’ Meal at Cumberwell Park.

The occasion was an opportunity for students and staff to dine together and discuss days past and days to come, with all students receiving a heart-felt eulogy from the Director of Post-16, Ian Browning, and the Sixth Form tutor team.
