A beauty salon and nail bar is opening in Westbury following a property deal brokered by consultancy Myddelton & Major.

A ground floor lock-up shop at 50 Warminster Road has been taken by Mrs S Anderson on a five-year lease. Quoting rent for the 374 sq ft (34.72 sq m) property was £4,000.

Myddelton & Major Partner Dean Speer said, “This new beauty salon opening adds to the large variety of outlets in Westbury town centre and demonstrates continuing confidence in our high streets generally.

“The property is situated in a prominent position on Warminster Road (A350), a main thoroughfare through Westbury. Local occupiers include Aldi, Esso and Co-op Funeral Services.

“Town centre shop units in areas where there is much passing trade and good footfall remain popular.

A bus stop providing transport to Frome, Bath and Westbury Railway Station is situated 200 feet from the unit and a public car park is situated approximately 100 feet from the unit and is accessible via the turning to Orchard Road.

The ground floor retail unit has glazed frontage on to Warminster Road with access from the side.

The unit comprises a main retail area, rear ancillary room and kitchen/store room. The property benefits from one car parking space situated to the rear of the unit.

The market town of Westbury, population 14,709, is four miles south of the county town of Trowbridge and 27 miles from Salisbury. Communications are via A350, A36 and A361.

Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2016 for the fifth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
