PUPILS at Westbury Infants recently put together an exhibition to show case their latest learning efforts.
The term’s topic has been ‘Around the world’ and parents were invited to visit and see how hard the children have worked.
The school’s Liz Channon said, “The children really enjoyed themselves and each had a passport to visit each country before showing their parents and carers around at the end of the day. The children have worked really hard and the exhibits were lovely.
“Year 2 have been learning about Japan and China. Children were given the opportunity to use chopsticks and taste prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce.
“Year 1 learnt about Spain and Italy and had fun making Spanish omelettes and pizza. The reception children were learning about Wales and Scotland and had fun dressing in kilts and making Welsh cakes!”
Miss Hillier added, “This has been a lovely opportunity for the children to experience other countries and learn about other cultures without leaving Westbury. They certainly enjoyed tasting the different foods.”
