Story posted on

THE Jubilee Players present on the 25th and 26th April in the Jubilee Hall, Bratton at 7.00pm – ‘WAR! What is it good for’ in commemoration of the ‘Great British Spirit’ during the first and second world wars.

To start the audience will visit ‘The Three Bells Inn’ (by Richard Hills) in the East End of London during the Blitz. Various residents in the area meet up there each evening to enjoy a drink despite nightly air raids by the Germans.

This will be followed by sketches with a humorous side depicting various  events during both wars.

A two course meal will then be served.

Finish the evening off and dance or just  sit and enjoy the Big Band Sound by Bratton Silver Band. Appropriate dress optional.

Tickets £12.00 available from Gill Hurn 01380 830297.
