Westbury’s successful Music & Arts Festival has a new chair, Ian Cunningham.

Ian said, “I am very pleased to have been asked to take on this role, especially as I was new to the committee only last year.

Fortunately, Roy Inwood, Mike Pearce and Sue Ashby, who are very experienced, are staying with the committee, so I will get plenty of help and advice and won’t be on my own.

“I hope that I will be able to continue the remarkable success that Roy and the other committee members have built in the last six years.”

Retiring chair, Roy Inwood, is taking on the role of vice-chair. He said, “I very much want to keep up my involvement with the festival but I feel that after a couple of years in the hot seat, someone else should take a turn.”

Treasurer Wanted

The festival is need a treasurer. Would you be interested? Or do you know anyone who might fit the bill?

Ian said, “We aren’t a large festival so we don’t need a financial guru, just someone who can keep track of money in and out. Contact: ianfestival@c-and-o.co.uk or call 01373 826544 if you might be interested.

“And we are always happy to hear from would-be committee members or those who might like to help out but haven’t time for a full committee role.”
