ANARTS and crafts street fair, history walk, folk music, and much more will be part of this year’s Westbury Music and Arts Festival.

The festival will return for its fifth year from Friday 27th September to Sunday 13th October. Every year the festival brings a host of events to the town, including arts and crafts, music and workshops.

Roy Inwood, chair of the festival committee said, “We try to improve the festival each year with the funds we have available and this year, we are going to get more of the younger generation involved. We hope the younger generation will be the future of the festival.

“There will be a Songs of Praise-type event at Edington Church on Saturday 5th October to commemorate  the 70th anniversary of the people having to leave Imber in 1943.  This will be recorded and go out on BBC Radio Wiltshire.

“History walks will be held around the town, with one in All Saints Church for people who would like to know about the church and bell ringing if you think you are a budding campanologist.

“There will be a market and dancers in the churchyard on Saturday 28th Sept.

“Also music events will be taking place, so keep a look out for what is happening in the White Horse News or our programme booklet that will be available in August or go to our newly updated website www.wmafestival.co.uk”
